Airth and Wrole, a pair of human researchers, moved through the cave, mouths open with awe. The walls of the cave were alive with bioluminescence. Moths that glowed green in the dark nested here, and their larvae was just starting to mature and acquire their trademark glow.

It’s said that cats can See What Humans Cannot…but sometimes it feels like Samhain can See A Lot More than normal cats when she stares into the void. What is it she sees? Even she couldn’t say. Mostly because no one is sure that she has the capacity to think about anything. She is typically found sleeping in the cupboards in the kitchen, begging for food from the cooks, or bothering her older brother, Leon.

Sylvie has lived at the Grinning Kitten since she was four months old. On occasion, she will go on an adventure with one of the many Guild members that frequent the Grinning Kitten as a freelance paw for hire. When she’s not adventuring, she spends her time running around overseeing day-to-day activities – and making mischief where she can.

With an appetite as big as he is, Dozer is a hard cat to miss. This barbarian does what he wants, when he wants with little to no regard to what you say. If he’s not off hunting for adventure, he’s usually lounging in a seat that you stood up from, or screaming into the void to hear his own voice.

Mia is a frequent visitor to the Grinning Kitten. She and her family moved into Town A. When she visits, she can typically be found ensuring the other kittens aren’t lollygagging, as she loves to be in charge. No one really fights it, because Mia can be scary, but she is also incredibly loving. She likes hanging out with the children who come into The Grinning Kitten, but especially loves being at her home with her new, baby human best friend.

Leon is the oldest and one of the more laid back cats at the Grinning Kitten. He’s been described as a sweet old man cat. He isn’t actually old, though – he just acts like it because it’s easiest. He can usually be found comforting wounded Guild members, providing warmth on laps that he has chosen to rest on, and following patrons to the bathroom to make sure they don’t have to brave it alone.
